There are no rules about Christmas, despite what we might think. You can do it your way, or no way, or any way at all.

It’s OK not to mark it at all.

It’s OK to choose the bits you like.

It’s OK to eat what you want.

It’s OK to be by yourself, or with beloved pets.

It’s OK to say no to people.

It’s OK to decorate, or not to, to give presents, or not.

It’s OK to invent new traditions.

It’s OK to volunteer, and it’s OK not to volunteer.

It’s OK to sit in your pyjamas all day and watch films or read books.

It’s OK to go hiking.

It’s OK to go to church, or not to. It’s OK to mark it with a ritual.

It’s OK to treat it as just another day.

Whatever you do, enjoy it and make it your own, and do comment below with how you’d like Christmas to look and feel for you.
